PRFI’s Home Based Crisis Intervention Program offers an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization and/or placements for at-risk children, ages 5 to 17. Intervention is conducted at the family’s home or other natural setting familiar to the child and their family (for example, a local park or the neighborhood library). This program is open to families residing in Brooklyn neighborhoods in New York City.
The program typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks.
PRFI team members will connect families to additional services at the end of the program, if they are required.
